If you have never had alcohol withdrawals then you do not know what is in store for you. It is a nightmare and one of the worst experiences you will ever have to deal with in your life. Here are a couple of the symptoms that you might face during this time. Please remember that when you are going through withdrawals you should be careful and be under the supervision of at least one other person. Withdrawals can be a wide range of symptoms.
1.Shaking and Tremors
You may experience some sort of shaking or tremors during your withdrawal phase. It can be scary and make you worry but it is very normal. It can be handled with medication. Talk to your doctor about this and he will give you what you are looking for.
2.Anxiety
It can be anywhere from severe intense anxiety symptoms to a little bit of anxiety. Either way you will probably experience some of this while you are detoxing. It does seem to happen to most people.
3.Vomiting
Depending on how addicted you are and how long you have been consuming alcohol on a daily basis. You may be dealing with some sort of constant vomiting. This can lead to dehydration which can lead to death. Of course that is the worst case scenario. Just remember to stay hydrated during this symptom
4.Trouble Sleeping
Sleeping is hard to come by when you are detoxing from alcohol. So make sure that you are comfortable and take some sleep aides. This may help you get a better nights sleep.
5.Headaches
I noticed headaches were severe for me. Of course they do not even get touched by pain medications such as Tylenol. Not only that but your entire body seems to ache and you will be in a lot of pain. Just remember this and try to fight through it.
